HOWARD G. SANDS
Founding Principal

In 2002, Mr. Sands and his two partners formed Corporate Partners Capital Group Inc., a private investment company specializing in the acquisition and financing of corporate real estate. The bulk of Corporate Partners activities are on behalf of a $300 million fund backed by private capital.

Mr. Sands was a founding principal in CB Richard Ellis Corporate Partners, which sponsored an investment fund designed to capitalize on the trend of outsourcing corporate ownership of real estate. Over a three-year period, Sands and his partners completed the investment cycle of their fund with realized returns to investors of 34%, assembled a $62 million long-term net lease portfolio to facilitate the launch of a tenant-in-common program, and acquired the first ever U.S. properties for two offshore investors. Prior to helping launch the fund, Mr. Sands was a director at CB Richard Ellis Investors, focused on acquisitions of investments for pension fund accounts.

Mr. Sands background includes investment acquisitions, finance, brokerage, management, development and strategic planning. In addition to principal activities at CB Richard Ellis Investors, he held positions including: Vice President and Director of Acquisitions at a brokerage and development company, where he brokered the acquisition of over 150 properties for commercial re-development on behalf of clients that included Warner Bros. and Disney; Manager of an industrial multi-tenant portfolio; Director of Strategic Planning for PG&E, a Fortune 100 corporation; and as a debt and equity analyst in the Capital Markets group at Foothill Capital Corporation (a Wells Fargo Company).

Mr. Sands received a Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He is a member of the advisory board of Net Lease Forum and served on the Board of Directors for a REIT. Mr. Sands was a four time All-American tennis player, an intercollegiate Hall of Fame inductee, and a world ranked professional.

 

SCOTT E. TRACY
Founding Principal

In 2002, Mr. Tracy and his two partners formed Corporate Partners Capital Group Inc., a private investment firm specializing in the acquisition and financing of corporate real estate. The firm sponsors and manages a $300 million fund that acquires corporate properties and portfolios.

A 25-year veteran of CB Richard Ellis, Tracy spent nearly ten years in corporate finance, treasury and strategic planning serving as CBRE’s corporate controller and chief planning officer. Later, Tracy headed CBRE’s investment management unit, chaired its investment committee, and was instrumental in its growth in assets under management from less than $1 billion to over $12 billion.

Tracy also formed and headed CB Richard Ellis Corporate Partners, which sponsored a US$200 million fund designed to capitalize on the trend of outsourcing corporate ownership of real estate. Over a three-year period, Tracy and his partners completed the investment cycle of their fund with realized returns to investors of 34%, assembled a $62 million long-term net lease portfolio to facilitate the launch of a tenant-in-common program, and acquired the first ever U.S. properties for two offshore investors.

Tracy earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara (magna cum laude) and an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA. He also holds a CPA designation. Mr. Tracy has been a member of Financial Executives Institute (FEI), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), National Council for Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Tracy is a two-time recipient of the CB Richard Ellis Chairman’s Award for Leadership.

Tracy is actively involved in K-12 public education and is past president and current member of the La Cañada Unified School District’s Governing Board. He was a two-term president of the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation and currently serves as a trustee of its endowment fund.

KENTON D. WRIGHT
Founding Principal

In 2002, Mr. Wright and his two partners formed Corporate Partners Capital Group Inc., a private investment company specializing in the acquisition and financing of corporate real estate. The bulk of Corporate Partners activities are on behalf of a $300 million fund backed by private capital.

Mr. Wright was also a principal with CB Richard Ellis Corporate Partners, which sponsored an investment fund designed to capitalize on the trend of outsourcing corporate ownership of real estate. Over a three-year period, Wright and his partners completed the investment cycle of their fund with realized returns to investors of 34%, assembled a $62 million long-term net lease portfolio to facilitate the launch of a tenant-in-common program, and acquired the first ever U.S. properties for two offshore investors.

Previously as Vice President and Regional Director of Acquisitions at Starwood Financial Inc. and TriNet Corporate Realty Trust, Inc., Mr. Wright closed more than $750 million of corporate-occupied, single tenant properties throughout the U.S., developed the Company’s build-to-suit development model, structured joint-venture transactions totaling more than $150 million and closed more than $160 million in principal financings. Additionally, Mr. Wright was actively involved in capital raising and worked on the transaction team responsible for underwriting the merger of Starwood and TriNet.

Earlier, Mr. Wright worked in the investment banking groups of Volpe, Welty & Company and Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. Mr. Wright participated in structuring a variety of corporate finance transactions, including common equity and MLP offerings, private placement financings, M&A and exclusive sale assignments, valuation assignments, and advisory assignments. Prior to this, Mr. Wright worked for Liquidity Fund Investment Corp. in the Private Placement Acquisitions Group where he was responsible for analyzing and making purchase recommendations of real estate limited partnership units.

Mr. Wright received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
